The BN Micro Computed Tomography Center, located on the Incubation Center for Medical Equipment and Devices (ICMED), houses LOTUS systems with the versatility to scan all kind of samples ( e.g. oil core plugs, bone and teeth samples, etc.) at high resolution. Scan reconstruction and analysis software can be used on the LOTUS scanning systems or they can be installed on individual laboratory workstations. full-service scanning is available.

LOTUS-NDT :The diameter of objects to be scanned must not exceed 2 inch. the length of object must not exceed 120 mm.
LOTUS-inVivo : The diameter of objects to be scanned must not exceed 80 mm. the length of object must not exceed 120 mm.
LOTUS-NDT: 3 µm nominal / 1 µm smallest pixel size.
LOTUS-inVivo: 30 µm nominal / 10 µm smallest pixel size.
All LOTUS systems adjust the source to camera distance to minimize scan time for each selected magnification (1-240 minutes, depending on resolution and pixels used)
