The “Micro-CT and its Applications in Tissue Engineering” Webinar was weld by Behin Negareh, Abtin Teb and TPCF on December 7, 2023.
Micro Computed Tomography (Micro-CT) is a 3D X-ray-based imaging technique. Non-destructive nature as well as micron-scale resolution has turned micro-CT into an advanced modality of choice in a vast range of research fields.
Tissue engineering tries to restore or replace damaged tissue and organs using scaffolds, cells, and bio-active molecules. Micro-CT has played a significant role in the advances of this field in the past 30 years.
To further familiarize researchers with micro-CT, Behin Negareh Co., in collaboration with Abtin Teb Co. and the Pre-clinical Laboratory of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TPCF), held a webinar entitled “Micro-CT and Its Application in Tissue Engineering” on Thursday, December 7, 2023. This webinar was presented by Dr. Hossein Ghardiri, CEO of Behin Negareh Co. and Faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and Dr. Mahmood Azami, CEO of Abtin Teb Co. and faculty member of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, on various topics such as physical principles of micro-CT, 3D evaluation of Scaffold structure as well as the quantity and procedure of new tissue formation in scaffolds after implantation into an animal model.
