At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ghana'ati reviewed the memories of the establishment of this research center and talked about the efforts of professors such as the late Dr. Kabuli in setting up this institute. Dr. Saeed Sarkar, the head of the research center, also introduced different departments of the research center, including three research centers for medical science and technology, biomedical and robotics technologies, and cellular and molecular imaging.He and also stated that this center has more than 40 commercial products and 48 international patents.

During the visit to Behin Negar Company, Dr. Sarkar stated that the research center focuses on advanced medical technologies and equipment, and while producing articles is valuable, our main goal is to produce advanced systems and devices that can play a role in providing medical services, developing technology, and medical education.

He added: these devices are provided to educational, research, and clinical centers at prices that are about a quarter to a third of imported devices.

Dr. Ghana'ati considered the existence of such advanced technologies and devices as a sign of the high capacity of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, which goes beyond the national and even regional level, and emphasized the necessity of supporting and developing such activities as the main strategy of the university in the field of research and technology. 

In the cellular and molecular imaging research center, while explaining the activities, important products including micro -CT scanners were introduced. Dr. Sarkar announced the cooperation with the Vice-Presidency of Research of the Ministry of Health and medical education, and the Vice-Presidency of Science and Technology in establishing pre-clinical laboratories using the equipment manufactured in the institute.

The head of the university appreciated the efforts and valuable activities of the director, managers, specialists, and technologists active in research centers and knowledge-based companies based in the institute, such as Behin Nagareh Co.
