Behin Negareh Co. organized and held the “Workshop on Micro-CT Applications in Petroleum Industry and Instructions on How to Use LOTUS-NDT Micro-CT Scanner” in collaboration with the Institute of Petroleum Engineering of Tehran University and Foman Faculty of Engineering.

This workshop was held on May 31, 2023, at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering for the interested, talented, and hardworking students of petroleum engineering at the Foman Faculty of Engineering.

The first section of this workshop included an introduction to X-ray imaging methods, Physical principles of micro-CT imaging and its applications in the petroleum industry, and sample projects. The second section was designated to practical and basic instructions on how the device operates. Students were provided with Q&A periods in each section, as well.

The sincere efforts of Dr Hasan Zadeh, Vice President of Research at Foman Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Emami, vice president of Research at the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, paving the way for organization and holding of the workshop are worthy of great appreciation.
